Originally, I worked as a business consultant but found therapy so helpful with personal problems I decided to retrain as a psychotherapist myself.
I started my own private practice in 2004 which is currently based at Cornerstone Counselling & Therapy Centre while I worked in primary care settings for the NHS. Alongside my private practice I currently work for an eating disorders charity in Worksop called Freed Beeches as both a senior psychotherapist and deputy clinical manager.
I completed a two-year BACP accredited course in Integrative Counselling in 2004 at Sheffield Hallam University. I went on to complete a four-year Master’s degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham. Since then, I have continued to broaden my skills by completing a diploma in CBT and training in EMDR parts 1 to 4. I am a registered and accredited member of the BACP and a registered member of the EMDR Association UK & Ireland.
