Gestalt Psychotherapy

Gestalt Psychotherapy is a holistic, present-based approach to the healing and growth of the whole person, which greatly emphasises therapeutic aims to increase awareness, freedom, and self-direction. It views the whole of the person rather than reducing him to a set of symptoms: “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” The journey through Gestalt psychotherapy is about becoming Whole rather than feeling fragmented or disconnected from life.

Gestalt Principles

Gestalt is based upon the four theoretical pillars of phenomenology, dialogical relationship, field theory and experimentation. As Steve Jobs once said… “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.” This is the premise of Gestalt therapy; to take responsibility for your actions in order to achieve your full potential.
